As a follow up to last night's post, today is Lincoln's birthday. So even though Shannon and James are celebrating the birth of their gorgeous Cohen, they are also still grieving for their angel baby Lincoln.
Today we went to Deep Water Point where Shannon and James scattered Lincoln's ashes last year.
My wife and Shannon and James released balloons for Lincoln and all the other angel babies to celebrate Lincoln's 1st birthday.
Another very emotional day, but a great one to remember a beautiful son lost and to celebrate the wonderful family he is part of :) ... See MoreSee Less

As many of you know I am on call for a couple of different maternity hospitals to take photos for couples who experience the loss of a child through stillbirth.
Last year I received a call for baby Lincoln who was born sleeping at full term.
Lincoln had a very deep effect on me (as all the angel babies do) and some of you may remember he was the first angel baby that I ever posted on my FB page - it was done with the blessing of his parents who wanted to share their little man with the world. Since then, Shannon and James have become close friends with my wife Kristy and myself. Shannon works very closely with my wife who started A Midwife's Gift to get Cuddle Cots into every Maternity hospital in the state (another long story too!)

Shannon and James came into the studio for a quick maternity shoot the day before baby was due and we got some great images.
The next day we all waited anxiously for the message to come through about the birth. I have to admit I nearly jumped through the roof every time my phone went off, and when I got that text that baby Cohen had arrived safely and screaming, then more than a few tears of joy were shed!!!
Shortly after, my wife and I made the trip to go and visit this beautiful bundle of joy, and it was an emotional visit! Lots of happy tears were shed and lots and lots of cuddles were had.
I could only stare at this beautiful boy, little brother to Lincoln, who is as gorgeous as they come. ... See MoreSee Less
